EEF is excited to announce that we are accepting applications for our 2012 Urban Worship Songwriting Summer Internship. This eight-week intensive program invites students to live in Church Hill for 8 weeks this summer while they develop their musical giftings and deepen their understanding of congregational worship in the historic East End of Richmond. The intern study will consist of three areas of focus: biblical theology and exposition, a historical overview of worship practices in the western church, and a historical survey of African American music. The intern participants will spend the remainder of the time writing songs, rehearsing music, and planning worship for a congregation in the urban context. Application Requirements:
- Fill out the Online Application
- Upload audio (mp3, etc) and/or video (youtube, vimeo, etc) samples demonstrating songwriting and musical ability on the Upload Form.
- Have someone who is familiar with your character, work ethic, and musical ability fill out the Reference Form.
- Turn in all forms by April 15, 2012
